กระทู้ให้คำปรึกษา USA 48 ขณะอยู่ในสหรัฐอเมริกา

เพิ่งไปเห็นกระทู้ที่พี่ไมค์ตั้งไว้แล้ว
พี่ไมค์จะได้ไม่ต้องตอบซ้ำซ้อนละ ขอโทษทีค่ะ
แต่มีคำถามใหม่อีก

ไปอ่านในเว็บไซต์ของสถานทูตคอสตาริก้าในดีซี เค้าพูดถึงเรื่องสถานะการเงินด้วย
พี่ไมค์คิดว่าไงคะ? เราต้องมีเงินในบัญชีด้วยมั้ย? หรือจะมีอะไรเป็นพิเศษกับวีซ่าเจวัน ในฐานะที่เราเป็นนักเรียนแลกเปลี่ยนมั้ย? (หมายถึงเป็นไปได้มั้ยที่จะไม่ต้องการสถานะทางการเงิน กรณีเป็นนักเรียนแลกเปลี่ยน)

ขอถามพี่ไม้หน่้อยครับ สำหรับผมมเหือนกรณีน้องหิน คือจะไปเที่ยวเดี่ยว แล้วคราวนี้ผมสงสัยว่าเอกสารที่ผมต้องทำคืออะไรบ้างครับ เพราะผมโทรไปบอกแม่ที่เมืองไทยเรื่องนี้ แล้วต้องให้ผู้ปกครอบที่ไทยทำเอกสารอะไรเพิ่มเติมไหม  แล้วก็ ถ้าผมทำเส้นทางเอง และกำหนดวันเวลาทุกอย่าง ผมต้องยืนแผนการเดินทางให้ AFS เขตผมรับทราบไหมว่า ผมไปพัก ที่ไหน กี่วัน ที่ผมรู้คือผมไปเที่ยวเองได้ไม่เกิน 10วัน ผมคาดว่าผมไปเองจะประมาณ  6 วันได้

คราวนี้มีคำถามแบบความคิดเห็นข้างบน คือ ต้องทำเอกสารอะไรบ้างจากเมืองไทย
แล้วต้องเป็นหลักฐานฉบับจริง ๆ หรือสามารถสแกนแล้วส่งทางเมลล์ได้มั้ย? (นี่โฮสถามมา)

แล้วในเว็บพวก ipod $179 $199 ไรงี้ เค้ารวท tax ยังอ่ะคะ?

ก็ต้องดูสุดท้ายตอนจ่ายเงินครับ

คือเอารองเท้าไปคืนที่ nordstorm เพราะใส่ไม่ได้ ตั้งแต่ 12 ธันวา ใช้บัตรเดบิตกรุงไทยวรซ่า จนตอนนี้จะ 1 เดือนแล้ว เงินยังไม่เข้าบัญชีเลย จะทำยังไงดีคะ

เขาไม่ได้คืนเป็นเงินสดหรอครับ ?? ก็ต้องรอไปก่อนนะคับ ไม่งั้นลองเก็บใบเสร็จ แล้วไปเช็คกับร้านเค้าใหม่ก็ได้

พี่ไมค์คะ ถ้าจะไปคอสตาริก้า พี่ไมค์พอจะทราบมั้ยว่าต้องทำวีซ่ารึเปล่า?
ไปคนเดียวนี่ต้องขออนุญาตเอเอฟเอสใช่มั้ยคะ? ไปต่างประเทศเค้าให้ไปมั้ยหรือต้องไปแต่ในเมกาเท่านั้น?

ไม่ต้องทำวีซ่าครับ สามารถใช้พาสปอร์ตไทย "ที่มีวีซ่า J1 ที่มีอายุอย่างน้อย 3 เดือน" ก่อนเวลาเดินทางกลับ ก็สามารถเข้า Costa Rica ได้ อย่าลืมเตรียม ใบ DS-2019 (ที่เคยได้มาพร้อมกับวีซ่า) ไปด้วยนะครับ เพราะตอนขากลับเข้า USA จะต้องยื่นใบนี้ คู่กับ Passport

i have really serious ploblem.

about money

i came to USA with 150 US dollar per month

i give it to host family , and told her give me 150 per month

cuz i waanna control my habbit about money

but .....

she doesn't give it back to me .

she said i don't have to use it .

and she said she will use it to buy food every month ..

every end of the month she bring me travel cheac and told me sign it

and i don't know what she use it for ?

i never get any money from host family

i get 30 bucks/ month  from liason

i can't go anywhere

i can't buy anything at mall

i have no money !!

what should i do ?

is that right or wrong ?

That's absolutely wrong at the beginning. You must not give any responsible of your own money to anyone, including AFS volunteers, staffs and your host family. They are not your real parents and you have to make a good relationship to make sure you can trust them. If you don't feel free to tell your host parents, ask your liaison to tell them so. You should be old enough to be responsible of your own money (or money that your mom and dad gave you) Otherwise you should deposit money in the bank and use it when necessary.

เอกสารการขอเที่ยว AFS น่าจะแจกให้ตั้งแต่วันเข้าค่าย หรือวันแลกเงินแล้วนะครับ ให้ทำตามระเบียบการ ที่พี่เคยโพสไว้ในกระทู้เก่านะครับ

Can you contact the head of your area team hosting? He or she might be the best person for you to contact right now. Please send me email about your situation (write nicely and proper English) to me and I will forward to Senior Regional Coordinator. She might be able to help you as well.

i have question.
I have lots of clothes and really sure that I couldnt pack everything in my luggage so would you suggest me to ship it with fed-ex or should I but another big luggage and pack them in.
But Im not sure about the weight for the luggage of each airline , how much is it to be consider as
overweight.

On the way back to Thailand, Cathay Pacific allows you to check 2 luggages, with 23 kilos for each (total of 46 kilos) one carry-on luggage and one personal item (laptop, purse)

So you CAN check TWO suitcases back home. However, during the end-of-stay orientation, you MUST take care of your own luggages. No one will carry them for you.
